3D Character Designer, media technician and multi-disciplined artist. Currently working at Norwich University of the Arts the Digital 3D Media Technician, recently awarded a MA with Distinction in Games at NUA. Particularly focused on character and creature design, with a workflow utilising Zbrush, Substance, Blender and Maya to create game-ready assets with optimised geometry with UDIM texture maps suitable for high detailed rendering.

Varied techniques are used to efficiently produce well rounded character models, including using Photogrammetry in conjunction with 3D modelling and sculpting techniques to create versatile, highly-detail and optimised game-ready asset. Organic and humanoid forms with a range of sci-fi and fantasy aesthetics are produced efficiently, with meticulous attention to texture details, with clothes and hair modelled and simulated to create fully fleshed out characters. Hard-surface modelling has become a greater part of production capabilities, items such as weapons, being modelled for use for a range of platforms and game engines, alongside designing and fabricating 3D printed CAD components for Archvis utilisation, scale-model maquette manufacturer.

Rapid iterating on designs has been undertaken extensively to find more efficient practices through creative experimentation, online and practical research, as part of the role of Media Technician. This supports a diatribe of different approaches to 3D asset production and implementation, to most effectively realise the ideas of students, through teaching, producing educational and support materials for independent learning, in addition to the maintenance and use of Workshop equipment, hardware and software alike, enabling the familiarisation with the use of distributed rendering, VR equipment, 3D printing and laser cutting.
